Centrally located with convenient access to 150,000 hotel rooms and the McCarran International Airport, the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC), also known as the World Trade Center Las Vegas, is one of the largest convention centers in the United States. At 3.2 million square feet, LVCC is operated by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority and is known for its impressive versatility as one of the most modern and functional facilities in the world. In addition to approximately 2 million square feet of exhibit space in 16 convertible halls, its 144 meeting rooms can handle seating capacities from 20 to 7,500. Plus, a 225,000-square-foot grand lobby and registration area efficiently link exhibit halls and meeting rooms to allow for simultaneous setup and breakdown of multiple events. Better yet, LVCC has ample parking with more than 5,200 spaces. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in designated areas of the convention center and the parking areas as well, and Smart City Telecommunications Service provides a full range state-of-the-art telephone and data-cable drops throughout. With a full-service kitchen, two restaurants with seating for more than 1,300, 18 concession stands and two Starbucks cafés, every culinary need can be met at a cost that is highly competitive with other facilities.

The Palazzo, The Venetian and the Sands Expo and Convention Center together form the ultimate meeting, incentive-travel, convention and exposition destination called the Las Vegas Sands MEGACENTER™. With more than 2.25 million square feet of meeting space and all the facilities consolidated in one area, convention planners find a uniquely productive working environment with more interaction between attendees. With more than 1.8 million square feet of combined meeting and event space, the Sands Expo and Convention Center and Venetian Congress facility make up the third largest of its kind in the country. Floor plans offer flexible individual meeting rooms, expansive exhibit halls, hospitality suites and executive boardrooms customizable to meet your needs for a gathering of 20 to an event of 20,000.

The Mandalay Bay Convention Center opened in 2003 as the fifth largest convention facility in the United States and the largest meeting facility on the Las Vegas Strip with 1.7 million gross square feet of meeting and exhibit space well suited for trade shows. The center features the largest pillar-free hotel ballroom in the country at 100,000 square feet where it has booked a number of large shows. With North and South divisions to the space, chances are Mandalay Bay has just the right configuration for your event. The North Convention Center features three ballroom spaces for large- to medium-size events. The South Convention Center has three levels of diverse and versatile spaces, including exhibit halls, ballrooms, multipurpose spaces and other meeting spaces as well as a business center and food court. The Mandalay Bay complex has additional offerings as well, including the fully customizable 12,000-seat Events Center and assorted open and unique spaces, such as an 11-acre beach, the Moorea Beach Club, the Shark Reef Aquarium and various customizable rooftops and garden areas, for a break from the traditional venue.

As an event destination, World Market Center Las Vegas offers ample space, flexibility and convenience. Customizable to your needs, World Market Center offers either a completely blank canvas for seasoned event planners or a complete turnkey process for industry newcomers. Ideal for modern weddings, corporate functions, nonprofit events, social receptions or business meetings, World Market Center features state-of-the-art technology, on-site catering, expert event planners and dozens of mixed-use space options, many with spectacular Las Vegas views. The architecturally stunning and unique spaces include pass-through interior spaces like the Fountain Foyer and Light Lobby; intimate meeting spaces like The OneSix Club; and assorted classroom settings like World Forum and WorldView on Sixteen. For a different kind of experience, the World Market Center offers delicious open-air spaces like the SkyView Terrace and the expansive outdoor Grand Plaza. The booking and production staff at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) operates three venues and works to meet all your needs, including professional production, marketing, ticketing and promotions so your event will run smoothly and successfully. The venues—the Thomas & Mack Center, the Cox Pavilion and Sam Boyd Stadium—are incredibly adaptable and can host a variety of events, including concerts, festivals, conventions and private parties, in many configurations for capacities ranging from 2,500 to 40,000. Following are more detailed descriptions of the three venues:
  • Thomas & Mack Center offers 33,582 square feet of function space. This 18,500-seat multipurpose events center is home to UNLV basketball and hockey games as well as other special events. Whether you need catering for a small cocktail party or a large convention, the Catering and Convention department can provide an array of services from staffing needs to luxury suites catering.
  • Sam Boyd Stadium is Southern Nevada’s premier outdoor facility. Home to UNLV’s Rebel football team, the annual Western Athletic Conference Football Championships and the Las Vegas Bowl, Sam Boyd Stadium also hosts popular entertainment and other events. At 92,665 square feet on six floors, its present capacity is 36,800 (with the ability to seat more than 40,000 when necessary).
  • Cox Pavilion is a 3,000-seat multipurpose venue connected to the Thomas & Mack Center. Home to the UNLV Rebel women’s basketball and volleyball teams, it features 26,000 square feet of space that can host a variety of functions, providing corporate, convention and meeting planners with a new alternative in Las Vegas. In-house services include catering, audiovisual, production, event staffing, advertising, video production, public relations and talent booking.

Although not every event is on this grand of a scale, you can count on Las Vegas to be able to accommodate and impress the biggest and most attended conferences and conventions with ease.
