What's Happening With Hotels?
Hotel shuttles aim to serve
Sometimes the fast-paced, never-resting action of the Las Vegas Strip isn’t where you want to rest after a day’s energized experiences. If that’s the case, consider booking an off-Strip hotel. Several off-Strip Las Vegas properties provide convenient shuttle service to and from locations on the Strip, the McCarran Airport and other area properties, which keeps guests connected to the vibrancy of the Strip at an off-Strip location, so they get the best of both Vegas worlds.

The Gold Coast Hotel and Casino provides a daily free shuttle service in a loop from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m., with shuttles every 30–45 minutes. The shuttles go from the hotel to its sister property, the Orleans Hotel and Casino then on to Tropicana Las Vegas on the Strip and back to Gold Coast Casino. Hotel guests receive priority seating, but the shuttle is open to the public as well.

The M Resort Spa Casino Las Vegas offers a free shuttle reserved for hotel guests only. Shuttles transport guests to and from the McCarran Airport all day from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. as well as every four hours to and from the Fashion Show Mall downtown from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The Palace Station Hotel and Casino offers guests free shuttle service to the Strip and downtown as well as the McCarran Airport. Running hourly from 10 a.m. to 11:15 pm, the around-town shuttle travels to Tropicana Las Vegas and the Fashion Show Mall downtown before returning to the hotel. Daily airport transports run from 6 a.m. to midnight.

At Sam’s Town Hotel and Gambling Hall, free shuttle buses, with preferential seating for hotel guests, make the trip to and from the Strip and downtown quick and easy. Shuttles run every hour or so to various locations between 8:15 a.m. and 11:15 p.m. Current destinations include Harrah’s Las Vegas Casino and Hotel and the Riviera Hotel and Casino on the Strip as well as downtown to Fremont Street and California Street.

The Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino offers its guests a free daily shuttle from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m., with three popular Strip destinations. Approximately every 15–30 minutes, guests can travel easily to and from Caesars Palace or one of Rio’s on-Strip sister properties, Harrah’s Las Vegas Casino and Hotel or Bally’s Las Vegas Hotel and Casino.

If you want to book far away from the Strip but still have easy access, the Aston MonteLago Village Resort at Lake Las Vegas provides a great option with free shuttle service to the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino on the Strip. Shuttles depart from MonteLago every four hours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Return shuttles also run every fours from 1:45 p.m. to 10:45 pm. Reservations are required.

The Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa offers comfort and value coupled with inspiring mountain vistas and easy access to outdoor adventure. The hotel’s free shuttle service to and from McCarran Airport, running from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m., and downtown to the Fashion Show Mall, with trips 11:10 a.m. to 10 p.m. makes staying here beautiful and convenient.

The South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa offers two shuttle options. The free shuttle for McCarran Airport is available only for hotel guests from 6:30 a.m. and 11 p.m.; however, reservations are required at least 24 hours prior to arrival. South Point also provides a shuttle to the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino on the Strip. Round-trip tickets must be purchased from the driver ($8 cash or $9.25 credit) and are valid on the date of purchase only.

So get the best of both Vegas worlds on and off the Strip, and don’t let the distance from the heart of Las Vegas deter you from booking at one of these great
off-Strip stays.

Ask your concierge
Concierge contacts are a crucial tool for event planners to have in their bag of tricks, especially when Las Vegas—a city that continuously reinvents itself—is the destination but not a location familiar to the meeting attendees or organizers. Knowing how to seek out and employ these insider secrets can make planning more efficient and enhance the overall experience of the event attendees.

Several Las Vegas companies specialize in personalized, full-service concierge assistance for large corporate groups looking for the inside scoop on deals and the best places to hold events or lodge attendees. Although specific services vary, these companies all strive to accommodate any planning or coordination needs their clients might have, from making travel and hotel arrangements to booking event spaces to providing a list of reputable local suppliers.

These companies can take the reigns of the event, tailoring it to your needs or preferences, or work with you in partnership as an extension of your internal resources. Many companies offer 24-hour hosting services during your stay so if any problems arise or situations change, they help keep the event running smoothly.

Following are a few concierge companies available for hire in Las Vegas to help with all of your coordination needs:
Another part of the event planner’s job often is to make sure attendees have access to entertainment and amenities during downtimes when they are not engaged in scheduled meetings or events. It is important to know where to direct them so they can get the most out of their time. One way is simply making sure attendees know that concierge services are available. Conveniently, most hotels make this expertise available to individual guests looking for a deal or an experience they never knew existed.
