Urban Expositions was founded in 1995 by experienced trade show and mart management executives Doug Miller and Tom Fulghum with the assistance of Tim von Gal.
In January 1996, Urban Expositions launched the semi-annual Philadelphia Gift Show, which quickly became the largest gift trade show in the mid-Atlantic region. Since then, Urban Expositions has acquired, expanded and launched a number of gift and resort shows across the country. All well noted in the respective industries as solid business-building events.
In addition, Urban Expositions entered the fabric, textile and related components industries with the debut of Material World Miami Beach in September of 2000 at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Material World opened with fabulous reviews by the industry and the company is looking to new markets for opportunities to create new textile events that respond to industry needs.
Through a logical, hands-on approach, Urban Expositions has quickly become one of the most successful, fastest growing trade show companies in the United States. |
