Using Event Professionals to Draw a Crowd
Article By: I: Volume 1 - Issue 1

Las Vegas is home to many of the largest trade shows and expositions in the world. According to the 2008 Las Vegas Perspective, over 6.2 million people attended conventions in Las Vegas last year alone.

Event service providers in Las Vegas provide all of the essentials that are needed to create a dynamic and alluring tradeshow booth. The creation of a bold display is essential to ensure that potential clients and customers are engaged. Event professionals offer everything from booth set-up and break down to carpeting to display design and storage. Many even offer audio visual equipment and any necessary technology.  The following are simple ideas to create an attractive tradeshow exhibit:

  • Be clear and concise;
  • Use interactive displays;
  • Offer prizes;
  • Stock extra promotional materials;
  • Man the booth at all times;
  • Engage trade booth visitors;
  • Build the impression of demand; and
  • Make information readily available to visitors.

Conventions and tradeshows can be an incredible resource for companies and organizations of all sizes. However, operating a tradeshow booth can be overwhelming for even the most experienced planner. Whether you are a tradeshow professional or a newcomer to the scene, the following tips will help ensure that you get the best return on investment from any trade show you attend.

  • Develop clear goals. Setting concise goals for the event is as important as actually attending. Do you want to meet a certain number of meeting planners or sell a specific amount of inventory? You can have more than one goal, but your intent must be clear when planning to attend a tradeshow or expo.
  • Be informed. It is essential that you research the tradeshow before you attend. The event will not be worth the return on investment if it does not parallel the goals that you have created. You want to choose tradeshows and conventions that best suit your participation objectives.
  • Advertise in advance. Don’t wait to let potential clients know that you will be attending an event until the actual day of the affair. Advertising your participation in advance will help ensure that clients, customers, suppliers and other contacts will be on hand to participate in the show.

From booth rental to equipment storage, Las Vegas has numerous event professionals that specialize in maximizing trade show participation.
